# Planning and Deployment

This section takes you from a purchase to a working AMIE Advanced deployment: how the system fits together, what your network must allow, how to sign up and license your [Space](/amie-advanced/introduction/how-your-space-is-organized.md), how to shape your groups, and how to connect your Versity handsets so they begin reporting.

If you used the previous AMIE console, start with [Moving from the previous console](/amie-advanced/planning-and-installation/existing-customers.md): your Space is migrated for you, and nothing needs to be rebuilt.

| [Architecture](/amie-advanced/planning-and-installation/architecture.md) | You want to know what runs where, and what data travels between the handsets, the AMIE cloud and your browser |
| [Network requirements](/amie-advanced/planning-and-installation/network-requirements.md) | You are asking your network team to allow the handsets to reach AMIE |

| [Licensing](/amie-advanced/planning-and-installation/licensing.md) | You need to know what an AMIE Essentials or AMIE Advanced license gives you, and how to add one |
| [Signing up](/amie-advanced/planning-and-installation/sign-up.md) | You are a new customer with a license key and no Space yet |
| [Planning your groups](/amie-advanced/planning-and-installation/planning-your-groups.md) | You are deciding how to divide your fleet and who should see what |
| [Connecting handsets](/amie-advanced/planning-and-installation/connecting-devices.md) | Your Space exists and you want handsets to start reporting |

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.spectralink.net/amie-advanced/planning-and-installation.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
