# Plans

AMIE comes in two forms. AMIE Essentials simplifies app configuration and battery management. AMIE Advanced provides everything in AMIE Essentials plus device management and analytics. Which one you hold decides what you see in this console.

## AMIE Essentials

AMIE Essentials configures the Spectralink applications on your Versity handsets through Spectralink Application Management (SAM), which has its own documentation at support.spectralink.com/sam, and gives you battery management in this console.

An Essentials license can also be added to this console. When it is, the console gives you the battery monitoring screens — [Batteries](/amie-advanced/using-the-platform/batteries-overview.md) and [Battery details](/amie-advanced/using-the-platform/battery-details.md) — and nothing else.

## AMIE Advanced

AMIE Advanced is this console in full: fleet monitoring, call performance analysis, alerting, device utilization and last-seen location, and everything else described in Using the platform. It includes Spectralink Application Management as well.

## Which plan you are on

Your plan is shown under **Settings** on the **Settings** tab, under **Space Configuration**, as **Plan**. The value reads **advanced** or **essentials**; **Unavailable** means the plan has not been calculated yet, which can be the case for a few minutes after signing up.

It follows your licenses. A Space holding at least one current AMIE Advanced license is on the Advanced plan; otherwise it is on Essentials. When your licenses change, your plan updates automatically — you do not set it yourself.

## Side by side

The features of each are compared on [Welcome to AMIE](/amie-advanced/introduction/welcome.md#amie-essentials-and-amie-advanced).

How licenses are sold and added is covered under [Licensing](/amie-advanced/planning-and-installation/licensing.md).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.spectralink.net/amie-advanced/introduction/plans.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
